It is Cherry Blossom Season at the Japanese Friendship Garden & the trees have started to blossom! Celebrate the tradition of hanami March 11th-13th at the 2022 Cherry Blossom Festival!

For more than 40 years, the San Diego community has welcomed in the holiday season by celebrating the annual December Nights in Balboa Park. Due to the potential uncertainty of public health conditions at the time of December Nights, and out of an abundance of caution, the City has made the decision to expand upon the 2020 successful drive-through experience, "Taste of December Nights," for this year's event.

The three-day event will take place on Friday, December 3rd through Sunday, December 5th from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and will feature some of your favorite food vendors, food trucks, and entertainment from past December Nights in a festive drive-through setting at the Inspiration Point parking lot near Balboa Park.

Veterans Village San Diego needs your help! They are hosting a clothing donation drive thru on Nov. 5. Drive into the VVSD employee parking lot (in the back lot, adjacent to the railroad tracks) and proceed to the back of the lot where volunteers will assist you. Please stay in your car except to unlock doors and/or your trunk. VVSD volunteers will ask for your name, address, email address and phone number to send an acknowledgement of your donation.
