Senator Atkins Applauds San Diego Unified’s Partnership with CALPIRG on Water Remediation

Senator Toni Atkins (D-San Diego) reacted with the following statement to San Diego Unified School District’s announced partnership with CALPIRG on a plan to ensure that drinking water districtwide meets the highest standards:

“By working closely with CALPIRG, one of California’s foremost consumer- and environmental-protection organizations, San Diego Unified is giving the entire school district community – students, parents, teachers, staff and administrators – confidence that the water at every campus will be of the highest possible quality. Our responsibility above all else is to protect the health and safety of our children when they are in our care. I am pleased that the district has added CALPIRG to the team that will make sure we’re meeting that responsibility.”
