Senate Leader Atkins Issues Statement on Thousand Oaks Shooting

SACRAMENTO – California Senate President pro Tempore Toni Atkins (D-San Diego) issued the following statement on the shooting in Thousand Oaks, California:

“I grieve with the Thousand Oaks community and all Californians on the senseless death of so many of their loved ones.

I am thankful for the efforts of law enforcement to respond quickly to such a tragedy - including Sgt. Helus who lost his own life in his effort to save others.”
