Senate Leader Atkins Announces Updated Committee Appointments
SACRAMENTO –Senate President pro Tempore Toni G. Atkins (D-San Diego) announced the following update to committee appointments today, following the swearing in of the Senate’s newest member, Sydney Kamlager (D-Los Angeles). The committee appointments are effective immediately.

- Appoint Senator Sydney Kamlager (D-Los Angeles) to fill the vacancy.
Budget and Fiscal Review
- Appoint Senator Sydney Kamlager (D-Los Angeles) to replace Senator Richard D. Roth (D-Riverside).
Governmental Organization
- Appoint Senator Sydney Kamlager (D-Los Angeles) to fill the vacancy.
Human Services
- Appoint Senator Sydney Kamlager (D-Los Angeles) to fill the vacancy.
Public Safety
- Appoint Senator Sydney Kamlager (D-Los Angeles) to fill the vacancy.
Rules
- Appoint Senator Sydney Kamlager (D-Los Angeles) to replace Senator Robert M. Hertzberg (D-Van Nuys).
