Judy Ki Appointed to the California Veterinary Medical Board

SACRAMENTO – The Senate Rules Committee, chaired by Senate President pro Tempore Toni G. Atkins (D-San Diego) approved the appointment of Judy Ki to the California Veterinary Medical Board during its hearing today.

“Judy Ki has dedicated her life to improving laws and policies to secure the humane treatment of animals. She played a key role in the passage of Proposition 2, which outlawed cramped cages for farm animals,” Pro Tem Atkins said. “I am confident she will continue to advocate for the protection of animals, and consumer protections, in her new role on the California Veterinary Medical Board.”

Judy Ki is a retired school teacher of 27 years. She served as a gubernatorial appointee to the California Commission on Asian and Pacific Islander American Affairs from 2012 to 2016. Ki has a Bachelor of Arts in Behavioral Science and a Master of Science in Computers and Education, both from National University.

Judy Ki lives in Poway and the term is for four years. Compensation is $100 per diem and necessary expenses.
