Caitlin Vega Appointed to the California Insurance Guarantee Association

SACRAMENTO – The Senate Rules Committee, chaired by Senate President pro Tempore Toni G. Atkins (D-San Diego), appointed Caitlin Vega, J.D. to the California Insurance Guarantee Association Board of Governors.

“Caitlin Vega brings decades of experience advocating for working families to this new role with the California Insurance Guarantee Association Board of Governors, which is tasked with charging and collecting insurance premium assessments from insurance companies operating in California,” Pro Tem Atkins said. “Caitlin’s legal expertise, and commitment to looking out for real life impacts on Californians make her a highly qualified addition to the board.”

Caitlin Vega is the Director of Union Made. Previously, she served as the Legislative Director for the California Labor Federation, a Representative for SEIU 614, and as a Legal Assistant for the Teamsters 490. She is a member of the California State Bar.

Caitlin Vega lives in Napa and the term is at the pleasure of the Senate President pro Tempore. There is no compensation.
