Jesse Conner Appointed to the Paramedic Disciplinary Review Board

SACRAMENTO – Today, the Senate Rules Committee, chaired by Senate President pro Tempore Toni G. Atkins (D-San Diego), appointed Captain Jesse Conner to the Paramedic Disciplinary Review Board. Captain Conner will serve as the Rules Committee’s appointment for a field paramedic with at least five years of experience as an Advanced Life Support provider.

“Captain Jesse Conner has over 17 years of experience as a first responder and the respect of his local firefighter community,” Pro Tem Atkins said. “The Paramedic Disciplinary Review Board will benefit greatly from Captain Conner’s extensive experience in the field and strong work ethic.”

Captain Conner is a fire captain and paramedic for San Diego City Fire-Rescue Department, and President of San Diego City Firefighters-International Association of Firefighters (IAFF) Local 145. He also is a member of the Sweetwater Valley Civic Association and California Professional Firefighters. Previously, he served as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Supervisor for Star Ambulance. Captain Conner also is a veteran, having served in the United States Navy as an Operations Specialist.

Captain Conner lives in Bonita and the term is for four years. Compensation is $100 per diem and reimbursement for travel and necessary expenses.
