SACRAMENTO – The Senate Rules Committee, chaired by Senate President pro Tempore Toni G. Atkins (D-San Diego), has reappointed Ramon Rubalcava to the Board of Administration for the Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS). Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon (D-Lakewood) concurred in this joint appointment.

“Ramon Rubalcava has served the CalPERS Board of Administration with distinction for the past four years, and I am heartened that we can retain such a talented and effective leader to continue the substantial responsibility of managing the largest public pension fund in the nation,” Pro Tem Atkins said.

“I’m very pleased to join with the Senate on this reappointment,” said Speaker Anthony Rendon. “Ramon Rubalcava has been an especially strong member of the CalPERS Board of Administration, protecting the hard-earned pensions of the workers who serve the public in California.”
