SACRAMENTO – California Senate President pro Tempore Toni G. Atkins (D-San Diego) and Senator Susan Rubio (D-Baldwin Park) authored a resolution taken up today on the Senate Floor declaring May as Small Business Month.
“Small businesses are critical to the economic well-being of this state,” Senate Leader Atkins said. “These small businesses represent an overwhelming share of California’s workforce, employing more than 7 million people and generating billions of dollars for California’s economy. They also help define the unique character of our diverse communities.”
