SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – California lawmakers are back at work this month for a new session and their slate is full.

California’s gas tax, the aftermath of the devastating wildfires, and a new governor are just some of the issues they’ll be tending to.

Senate President Pro Tempore Toni Atkins joined KUSI to share what California should expect from the legislature this year.
