Robert Gleason, Wendy Greuel Reappointed to the California Film Commission

SACRAMENTO – The Senate Rules Committee, chaired by Senate President pro Tempore Toni G. Atkins (D-San Diego), reappointed Robert Gleason and Wendy Greuel to the California Film Commission today.

“Robert Gleason and Wendy Greuel have served admirably on the California Film Commission and continually demonstrated their commitment to ensuring that California remains a leader in film and TV production, which is why I am so proud to support their reappointments,” Pro Tem Atkins said. “California is the birthplace of the incredible movies and television shows we love, and supporting this important industry is critical. I’m confident that Robert and Wendy will continue to work to protect and build upon this legacy.”

Robert Gleason is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Evans Hotels. He also served as a Lecturer at San Diego State University from 2005 to 2009. He is currently Chair of World Trade Center San Diego, Chair of the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority Arts Advisory Committee, Secretary of the San Diego Lodging Association, and serves on the California Travel and Tourism Commission. Mr. Gleason is also the former Director of the Los Angeles Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco.

Wendy Greuel is a Consultant for the Discovery Cube Foundation in Los Angeles. She is also an Executive in Residence and Strategic Advisor for California State University Northridge, Nazarian College. She is a member of the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority, the Women and Girls Initiative Commission, as well as the East Valley YMCA. Previously, she served as a member of the Los Angeles City Council from 2002 to 2009.

Robert Gleason lives in San Diego and the term is for two years. Compensation is reimbursement for traveling outside the county in which the appointee resides to attend meetings.

Wendy Greuel lives in Encino and the term is for two years. Compensation is reimbursement for traveling outside the county in which the appointee resides to attend meetings.
