Prostate Health Webinar, Turkey Giveaway, and more upcoming events

I’m excited to invite you to my upcoming Men’s Health Awareness Month Webinar: Prostate Health 101 on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, from 5:30 to 6:30 PM PT.

This free, virtual event, hosted in partnership with UC San Diego Moores Cancer Center’s Office of Community Outreach and Engagement, will share important updates on prostate health, who is most at risk, and when to get screened. You’ll also hear directly from medical experts during a live Q&A session.

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men and the second leading cause of cancer-related death. In San Diego County, it accounted for 14% (1,843 cases) of all cancers diagnosed in 2021. Advanced cases have increased 3% per year since 2014, showing why early detection and awareness are vital, especially for communities facing higher risks.

I also hope you’ll join me later that week for my Annual Fall Legislative Update, Health Fair, and Turkey Giveaway on Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Madison High School.

This free community event offers health resources, local services, and a turkey giveaway for your family’s holiday meal, while supplies last.
