Senator Weber Pierson, M.D., Adjourns in Memory of Alwin "Ben" Holman

I was honored to adjourn in memory of Alwin “Ben” Holman, a true trailblazer and the first Black Deputy Fire Chief in San Diego history. His remarkable 32 years of service with the San Diego Fire Department broke barriers and opened doors that changed the course of opportunity for others. His legacy of courage, leadership, and service will continue to inspire generations to come.
